Terms of Use
Effective date: October 8, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you ("you" or the "User") and French Saathi Canada ("French Saathi", "we", "us" or "our") governing access to and use of the French Saathi website, application, content and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By creating an account, purchasing a Subscription or otherwise accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms, the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy, each of which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Nature of the Service; No Affiliation
The Service is an independent educational resource intended to assist Users in preparing for French-language proficiency examinations, including TEF Canada, TCF Canada and DELF.
French Saathi is not affiliated with, authorised, approved or endorsed by the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de région Paris Île-de-France, France Éducation International, or Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. TEF, TCF and DELF are designations belonging to their respective owners and are used for descriptive purposes only.
3. Educational Content; No Guarantee of Results
3.1 All lessons, vocabulary lists, practice questions and mock tests are provided for general educational purposes only and do not constitute official examination material.
3.2 Any level indication, score or NCLC equivalence displayed by the Service is an estimate for practice purposes and has no official standing.
3.3 Portions of the content were prepared with the assistance of artificial intelligence tools and may contain errors or omissions.
3.4 We make no representation, warranty or guarantee that use of the Service will result in any particular examination score, proficiency level, or immigration or other outcome. The User is solely responsible for verifying examination requirements, dates and fees with the relevant examining body.
4. Eligibility and Accounts
4.1 You must have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence, or use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
4.2 Account access is authenticated through your email address. You are responsible for maintaining control of that email address and for all activity occurring under your account.
4.3 Accounts are personal and non-transferable. Sharing, resale or sublicensing of account access is prohibited.
4.3A A Subscription may be registered on not more than two (2) devices and used on one (1) device at any one time. Where an additional device is registered, the device used least recently is signed out. We may suspend or terminate, without refund, an account that is used in breach of Section 4.3.
4.4 You shall notify us without delay of any unauthorised use of your account.
5. Paid Plans, Fees and Billing
5.1 Certain features are available only under one of the following paid plans (each, a "Subscription"), the fees for which are exclusive of applicable taxes:
- (a) the Monthly Plan, a recurring subscription at a fee of CAD $14.99 per month; and
- (b) the 3-Month Pass, a single non-recurring payment of CAD $34.99 conferring access to the paid features for three (3) calendar months from the date of payment (the "Pass Term").
5.2 Payments are processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store complete payment card details.
5.3 Automatic renewal of the Monthly Plan. The Monthly Plan renews automatically for successive one-month periods, and you authorise the corresponding recurring charge, until it is cancelled in accordance with the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
5.3A 3-Month Pass. The 3-Month Pass does not renew. Upon expiry of the Pass Term, access to the paid features ends automatically and no further charge is made. A further 3-Month Pass or a Monthly Plan may be purchased thereafter at the fee then in effect.
5.4 We may amend the fee for the Monthly Plan upon not less than thirty (30) days' prior notice by email. The amended fee applies from the first renewal following the notice period. An amendment to the fee for the 3-Month Pass applies only to purchases made after the amendment and does not affect a Pass Term already paid for.
5.5 Where a payment is declined or reversed, we may suspend access to paid features until the outstanding amount is settled.
6. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation of a Subscription and any entitlement to a refund are governed exclusively by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
7. Licence and Restrictions
7.1 Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial study.
7.2 You shall not, and shall not permit any third party to:
- (a) reproduce, distribute, publish, sell, license or otherwise make available any part of the content;
- (b) access or collect content by automated means, including scraping or bulk downloading;
- (c) circumvent or attempt to circumvent any access control or payment restriction;
- (d) use an account belonging to another person; or
- (e) use the Service in breach of any applicable law.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service and all content therein are the property of French Saathi Canada or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No right, title or interest is transferred to you other than the licence expressly granted in Section 7.
9. Automated Feedback Features
9.1 Where the Service offers feedback on written or spoken responses, such feedback is generated by a third-party artificial intelligence model. It is provided for information only, does not constitute an assessment by a certified examiner, and may be inaccurate.
9.2 Such features are subject to monthly usage limits and may be modified or withdrawn at any time.
9.3 You shall not include personal or confidential information concerning yourself or any third party in material submitted for automated feedback.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, without refund, where we reasonably determine that you have breached these Terms. You may cease using the Service at any time.
11. Modifications to the Service
We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service. Should the paid Service be discontinued, we will notify Subscribers by email and cease billing.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties and conditions, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.
13. Limitation of Liability
13.1 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, French Saathi shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of opportunity, including in connection with the outcome of any examination or immigration application.
13.2 Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
13.3 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless French Saathi Canada from any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and of the Canadian province in which French Saathi Canada operates, without regard to conflict of laws principles, and subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions of your jurisdiction of residence.
16. Amendments
We may amend these Terms from time to time. The effective date above will be updated accordingly, and material amendments will be notified to Subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.
17. Severability; Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Refund and Cancellation Policy and the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and French Saathi with respect to the Service.
